Surf Coast Offroad Riders (SCOR)

Surf Coast Offroad Riders (SCOR) is a Mountain Bike Australia (MTBA) affiliated club. SCOR was set up to represent local Anglesea, Torquay, Aireys Inlet and Lorne riders on mountain bike access issues with the backing of the national peak body.

SCOR is also committed to organising and running grass roots mountain bike events with the emphasis on participation and enjoyment particularly for younger riders. To date we have successfully run a number of local events and SCOR has plans for many more.

Most notably SCOR has run Take A Kid Mountain Biking Day (TAKMD) for the past 4 years. An initiative of the International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA) & MTBA, TAKMD was started to introduce kids to the sport of mountain biking and to promote mountain biking as a healthy active lifestyle and a means to tackling childhood obesity.

SCOR is not a club in the traditional sense. There is no cost to be a member and the structure of SCOR is more organic. We want to attract like minded riders and create a critical mass to progress the development of mountain biking.

If SCOR is the sort of mountain biking club you have been looking for get in contact with us through Trailhead Bike Co.

Of course if you are looking at joining MTBA as social member or a race member SCOR welcomes you to join through us. SCOR does not have any club fees so it's cheaper and you will be supporting trail development on the Surf Coast.
